We’re giving dancers a real taste of what it’s like to be part of Base181’s elite Rep Teams, while also giving our team the chance to see each dancer’s strengths and find the best fit for 2026 Rep or Academy groups.
Rep Team Tryouts is a high-energy, experience-based day designed to challenge, inspire, and unlock each dancer’s next level. Dancers will take part in multiple classes across different styles, pushing their limits, performing with confidence, and getting a true feel for what it’s like to be part of our elite Base181 Rep Teams.

Who can register for Tryouts?
Tryouts are open to all dedicated dancers who are ready to challenge themselves — whether they’re current Base181 students or new to the studio.
What happens on Tryout Day?
It’s a high-energy day where dancers take multiple classes in different styles, perform combinations, and work in groups. Our team observes their skill, focus, attitude, and performance energy to find the best placement for 2026 Rep or Academy groups.
What should my dancer wear?
Comfortable dance gear that lets them move freely — Show us your personality. Sneakers required. Bring water and a positive attitude!
Do dancers need to prepare anything?
No preparation is needed — just come ready to dance, learn, and give it your all.
When will placements be announced?
We will attempt to share placements on the day.
What if my child doesn’t make a Rep Team?
Every dancer will be given a clear pathway forward — whether that’s joining our Academy program or a development class to build toward next year’s opportunity.

We’ll aim to share placements on the day of tryouts! If not, families will receive their dancer’s placement shortly after.
